About Greenhub
The Green Hub supports work in both the formal economy through the creation of “green jobs” for low income workers, and with the informal and community sector through enterprise development. The Green Hub supports this work through a core capacity in:
- Development and incubation of community enterprises with a focus on reaching significant scale and replication. The Green Hub supports partners to identify the best technologies, develop appropriate enterprise models, and access the funding and investment to get their initiatives off the ground.
- Facilitation of cross-sector coalitions for green job and wealth creation with a focus on city-wide and regional change processes that address social inequality. The Green Hub brings together coalitions across labor unions, community networks and government to plan, negotiate and deliver major initiatives for green + equity.
The Green Hub also invests in long-term capacity building and knowledge development to support and expand this work through:
- Training and networking among academics, practitioners and local leaders in the new approaches, partnerships and tools required for green + equity.
- Research, documentation and learning, generating and sharing academic and community knowledge to support innovation and dissemination in this field.
